African Cast - Zebra Inca Cast - Lovely House

My work represents a part of the American pre-Columbian history. Each piece is created by hand, using method, materials, and symbols developed by the people of that era. Without use of mechanical tool, cast or molds, varnishes, stains or glazes, this work of art shows the unity between man and universe, duality perfectly understood for the ancient people. Although they didn't have a formal written language, they developed a kind of symbolism. This primitive symbolism has been similar in different ages and geographical places in the world because these people used descriptions and comparatives elements to create them. For example, dots represent rain drops, zigzags mean mountains, triangle figures represent houses and the spirals mean time. Their actions, feelings and emotions were expressed using this symbolism. They put together earth, water, air, fire and knowledge.
   I do the same.
